Cook, Harry (3 JAN 1936 – 27 MAY 1968)

Harry Cook, 32, rural Milan area (Marathon Co., Wis.), was killed in a truck accident at Nashville, Tenn., Monday.

Funeral arrangements are still pending, but will be at the Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby. Burial will be made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Details of the accident are not immediately known. Mr. Cook was driving a truck for LaBelle Storage and Moving of Minneapolis of Allied Van Lines.

Harry was born January 3, 1936, at Chicago. He attended high school there and then graduated from a photography school at Santa Barbara, Calif.

He was employed by an insurance company in California, and also worked as a photographer in Alabama and Florida. He next worked in Chicago as a news photographer for both the Associated Press and United Press International. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.

On February 14, 1960, he was married in Chicago to the former Patricia Bartosiak of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). About two years ago, they moved to a farm southeast of Milwan, which they purchased.

In addition to farming, Mr. Cook was a technician for Carnation Breeding Service. About a year ago he started driving for LaBelle, and his wife operated the farm.

Surviving, besides Mrs. Cook, are four children, Michael, Anthony, Linda and Brian. He is also survived by a brother, Arthur Cook of Colby, and his foster mother, Mrs. Mildred Jacob, and foster brother, Willard Jacob, of Chebanse, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
