Weisjahn, Martha (12 SEP 1879 – 2 MAY 1968)

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Weisjahn, 89, who died Thursday, May 2, 1968, at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.

The Rev. F.H. Sprengler conducted the services, during which Mrs. Myron Greaser and Mrs. James Daellenbach sang "Heaven is My Home" and "Asleep in Jesus." Mrs. Eugene Strathman was organist and accompanist.

The pallbearers for the interment made in the Abbotsford Cemetery were Hans J. Amacher, Albert Busse, Ole Hanson, George Kelsey, G.G. Kieser and Walter Kuenzi.

The former Martha Budtke was born at Auburndale, September 12, 1879. She was married at Appleton to August Weisjahn, who preceded her in death.

Following their marriage they lived in Abbotsford. About eight years ago Mrs. Weisjahn went to the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen.

Survivors include a step-grandson, Leonard Russert of Fond du Lac, five nieces and a sister-in-law.

Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
