Metzke, Marlene Martha (2 JUN 1962)

Miss Marlene Martha Metzke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Metzke, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and William John Marks, Milwaukee, and the late Mr. Marks, were married Saturday, June 2, 1962 at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Daniel Zielske officiated at the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Daniel Zielske was the organist and Mrs. Arvin Gade was the soloist for "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer." The congregation sang "Let Us Ever Walk with Jesus."

The bride, given in marriage by her father, entered the church wearing a white floor length gown of silk organza and lace over taffeta. It was styled with a Sabrina neckline, fitted bodice, bouffant skirt extending into a chapel train. Her fingertip veil was held to a crown of aurora borealis and pearls, and she carried a white orchid, stephanotis and ivy on lace covered book.

The prayer book was given in memory of the bride's Godfather, Arthur Albrecht by her aunt, Mrs. Arthur Albrecht of Abbotsford.

Miss Joan Metzke, Greenwood, the bride's only sister, was maid of honor.

Mrs. James Metzke, Greenwood, Mrs. Paul Kranich, Milwaukee, Mrs. Roy Pipkorn Jr., Unity, were bridesmaids. Miss Julene Radlinger, Dorchester, was the junior bridesmaid.

All wore yellow organza, embroidery trimmed dresses with full skirts and matching accessories. They carried cascade bouquets of yellow roses and white carnations.

Paul Kranich, Milwaukee, was best man. James Metzke, Greenwood, Donald Albrecht, Abbotsford, Roy Pipkorn Jr., Unity, were groomsmen.

Dinner was served at the church parlors. A reception was held at the bride's home.

The bride, a graduate of Greenwood High School and Milwaukee Institute of Technology, is employed at the Veterans Hospital at Wood, Wisconsin.

The groom graduated from Oconto Falls High School and is employed by the Allen Bradley Company.
