Rude, George (1885? – 27 AUG 1961)
George E. Rude, 76, rural Mount Horeb, retired Register od Deeds in Clark and
Dane Counties, died Sunday in a Madison Hospital from burns received in a gas
heater explosion at his home Thursday.
Born in Chicago, he attended Chicago Business College. He lived in Greenwood
(Clark Co., Wis.), Neillsville, Madison and Verona before moving to Mount Horeb
upon retirement in 1957.
He was Register of Deeds in Clark County from 1927 to 1937.
