The Royal Neighbors of Granton held their annual Christmas party at the home of Mrs. Verig hales, December 29, for a delicious dinner. Mrs. Caroline Seidel of Marshfield, District Deputy, was a guest. Mrs. Seidel is retiring now at the end of 1970. Gifts were exchanged, also an appreciation gift was given the honored guests.

Election of officers was held. Elected were, Oracle, Mrs. Flossie Schmidtke; Past Oracle, Mrs. Pearl Cain; Recorder, Mrs. Ella Eibergen; Marshall, Mrs. Grace Paulsen; Inner Sentinel, Miss Shirley Davis; Vic Oracle, Mrs. Violet spry; Chancellor, Mrs. Ethel Berg; Receiver, Mrs. Esther Schmidtke; Outer Sentinel, Mrs. Myrtie Davis; Assistant Marshall, Mrs. Esther Schmidtke; Manager for three years, Mrs. Althea Ganther; Hold over managers, Miss Ruth Pietenpol and Mrs. Dorothy Crandall, for one and two years; Musician, Miss Ruth Pietenpol; Faith, Mrs. Orra Quicker; Courage, Miss Ruth Pietenpol; Majesty, Mrs. Althea Ganther; Unselfishness, Mrs. Dorothy Crandall; Endurance, Mrs. Verla Hales; Flag Bearer, Miss Shirley David, and Captain of Degree Staff, Mrs. Grace Paulsen.

The next meeting with installation of officers will be at the home of Mrs. Pearl Cain, January 28th at 1 o’clock.

Mrs. Myrtie Davis and son Warren, and Mrs. Ed Lezotte drove to Liberty Pole Saturday and were dinner guests of Mrs. Frank Mills. They then drove to Viroqua, and visited their aunt, Mrs. Ern. Nicks, a resident in the Bethel Home there.

Mrs. Frieda Frischman and Mrs. Helen Lawrence visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Niemi at Tomahawk.

Robert Smith of Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Benedict were Tuesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict.

Mr. and Mrs. Melford Rowe took their daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Ahlborn back to her home at Minocqua Thursday and spent the weekend there.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pinkerton and children of Oshkosh were Wednesday overnight guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict. They assisted Mr. and Mrs. Larry Benedict in moving to Stevens Point Thursday, where Larry will be employed.

New Year’s supper guests at the Rollie Benedict home were Mr.a nd Mrs. Nyle Benedict, and Saturday supper guests were Mr. and Mrs. Morvin Benedict and daughter Susan of Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Gail Hetzel and family returned to their home in Louisiana Thursday after spending a week visiting relatives in the vicinity.

Mrs. Ray Hetzel returned home from River View Hospital at Wis. Rapids, where she has been a surgery patient for nearly three weeks.
