A highway meeting of Clark County voters will be held at the Abbotsford Armory at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 27, for the purposes of explaining a bond issue for improvement.

The proposed highway project, to be completed within the years 1936 and 1937, provides for grading, draining and paving with concrete 24.84 miles on State Trunk Highway 73 between Day’s corners, three miles south of Neillsville, to the end of the concrete south of the village of Withee.

Highway 73 is the most important road in Clark County which is in an unimproved condition at the present time. It is the main north and south route in the county, connecting State Trunk Highway 29 on the north, the main artery of travel between Chicago and the Twin Cities, with US 10 on the south, both paved east and west highways.

Highway 73 serves more local resident than any other road in the county and is a connecting link between most cities and villages and the county seat.
