Capelle-Campbell, Ada M. (25 SEP 1922 – 11 MAR 2016)

Ada M. Capelle-Campbell, 93, Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, March 15, at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire. Rev. Dean W. Simpson and Rev. Barbara A. Koch officiated.

Ada Capelle was born on Sept. 25, 1922, in the township of Loyal, Clark County, to Phillip and Martha (nee Blado) Capelle. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Ada went to school in a 1-room school with eight grades. She then attended Loyal High School. Following her high school graduation, she attended technical school in Eau Claire. Ada performed secretarial work until she started selling insurance. She worked for Equitable Life for many years. At the age of 50, she married William Campbell and became the step-mother of eight children. She then retired from the insurance business.

Ada is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Bob) Herdrich, Eau Claire; her brother, Delmer (Violet) Capelle, Loyal; her sister-in-law, Ann Capelle, Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Campbell, and a brother, Calvin Capelle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ada’s name to Grace Lutheran Church.
