Myrtle M. Prestebak, age 88, of Dorchester passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Golden Living Center - Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

A Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. Reverend Gary Lodholz will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 AM until the time of service Friday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester is entrusted with the arrangements.

Myrtle was born on July 22, 1927, the daughter of William and Martha (Beilfuss) Kellner in Dorchester. Myrtle was united in marriage to Joyce "Joe" Prestebak on May 29, 1954 in Dorchester.

Myrtle graduated from high school in Dorchester, and received her Bachelor of Science from UW Stevens Point in Education. She taught children for over 30 years in the Abbotsford area.

Myrtle enjoyed quilting, and was a member of the Curtiss Quilt Club. She was also a member of the Marshfield Area Retired Educators, and the Clovernook Homemakers Club. Myrtles faith was important to her, as she was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the choir, altar guild, ladies aid, and teaching as a Sunday school teacher.

Myrtle is survived by her four children: John of Dorchester, Alan (Pam) of Dorchester, Jean (Brian Schmeiser) of Abbotsford, and Steven of Dorchester; 4 grandchildren: Kristi (Aaron) Ruggles of Owen, Kari Erdman of Rozellville, Megan (Tanner) Nussbaum of Kaukauna, and Max Prestebak of Appleton; and 2 great-grandchildren: Easton and Jordy.
