David, Shari Ann (Marriage - 25 May 1974)

Our Lady of Peace Church, Marshfield, was the setting for the May 25 marriage of Miss Shari Ann David, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis David, Rt. 3 Marshfield, and Thomas Lukes, son on Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lukes, Neillsville. The Rev. Walter Dillenburg officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Village Plaza, Spencer.

An old fashioned bouquet with coral roses brightened the bib-fronted bridal gown accented with hand-clipped Chantilly lace trim and styled with a high neckline, long bishop sleeves, an A-line skirt and chapel train.

Bridal attendants were Linda Site of Sister Bay as maid of honor and Carol Kowalsky of Racine, Gail Vos of Burlington and mary David of Marshfield as bridesmaids. Their jacketed, halter-neckline flocked voile gowns were fashioned in rainbow shades of blue, maize, Nile green and apricot. Daisies with baby’s breath formed their bouquets.

The groom was attended by Neil Armitage, Marshfield, was bestman and David Roberts, Madison, and Gary Lukes and Charles Schlegelmilch, Neillsville, as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Kenneth David and Alan David, Marshfield.

Soloist Mrs. Jeff Larsen sang to her own guitar accompaniment. Mrs. Frank Wesley was the organist.

Mrs. Lukes is a graduate of Spencer High School, is now a junior at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School in 1969 and from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1973. He is employed as a toxicologist by a Mundelein, Il., firm.
