Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Dehne and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pyatt of Owen are leaving Friday for Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Oehler were pleasantly surprised Sunday afternoon, January 26, when relatives came to help them belatedly celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, which was December 24. The celebration was observed late because of bad weather and the “flu bug.” Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Gay Graffunder and Debbie of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tischendorf and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oehler of Dorchester, Elmo Barker of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bredlau and Jan of Owen, and Mrs. Louise Barker, Fred Malchow, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Oehler and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Graffunder and Bradley, all of Abbotsford.

Bonnie Baehr, a student at Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, spent the mid-semester break at her home.

Raymond Orth was admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chet Leu, Mr. and Mrs. “Butch” Leu, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kittel, Mr. and Mrs. Russ Rueden, Mr. and Mrs. David Rueden, and Albert Huetl attended a birthday party in honor of Elda and Helen Leu at Frosty’s Bar at Stratford on Saturday, February 1. Music was provided by Donnie Loeu Trio from Eau Claire.

Mrs. Vernon Steffen returned Tuesday, January 28, after spending four days with her three sons and their families, dick in Elm Grove, Jim in Brookfield, and Bill, who was in Milwaukee from Granada Hills, Calif. He was on a business trip to New York City and Milwaukee, where he spent the weekend, ,leaving January 28 for stops at Chicago and Ohio, before returning to California.
