Sazama, Paul John (8 SEP 1889 – 29 DEC 1968)

Paul John Sazama, 79, Colby, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1968 at the Marathon County Hospital.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, Thursday, January 2, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. John Olson officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Lulloff Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Sazama was born in the Town of Frankfort (Marathon Co., Wis.). He married Mary Schenk July 18, 1922. Mrs. Sazama died Feb. 27, 1966. He received his education in area schools and farmed in the Townof Frankfort until his retirement in 1963.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Janet) Brill of Colby; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Wallner of Milwaukee and Mrs. (Anna) Art Bradow of Two Harbors, Minn. Sazama is also survived by his mother, Anna Sazama, who is living in Two Harbors, Minn.

Pallbearers were Leon, Sylvester and Jems Sazama, Gary Umnus, Willard Wallner and Richard Bailey.
