Wavrunek, Kathleen Marie (Marriage - 20 April 1974)

Miss Kathleen Marie Wavrunek became the bride of Arnold Patrick Pichler Saturday, April 20, in a 3 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Charles D. Brady. The Wildcat Inn was the setting for a reception and dance.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wavrunek of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Pichler, Sr., of Mondovi. Mr. Wavrunek presented his daughter in marriage.

The bride chose a Victorian style gown of white lace fashioned with a standup collar centered with pearls, a button-accented bodice and a scalloped hemline. Her full length veil was edged with matching lace. She carried a nosegay of pink roses and white daisies.

Kathy Gillett, Eau Claire, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mercita Pichler, Eau Claire, and Miss Cheryl Loefer, Brillion. Their pale blue chiffon gowns featured white lace cuff and bodice trim and standup collars. Arrangements of white daisies and blue baby’s breath in white baskets complimented the gowns.

Serving as best man was Patrick Schuh, Rock Falls. David Svetlik and Richard Holley, both of Eau Claire, were groomsmen. Guests were seated by Steve Dobson and John Gerberich, also of Eau Claire.

The newlyweds will live in Eau Claire where both are employed.
