Granton (25 April 1974)

The piano students of Mrs. Lee Garbisch will present a recital Monday, April 29, at 8 p.m. in the Granton High School cafeteria. The public is invited to attend. Lunch will be served following the program.

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Zion Lutheran Church is to meet this (Thursday) evening at 8 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Elnora Reich will be the hostess. Books for the Bible study series, “Me, too,” have arrived.

Harold Schlinsog, his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zahnow, and Asa Darling of Neillsville attended funeral services for John Bunk in Kendall Monday. Mrs. Bunk is the former Sadie Schlinsog, daughter of the late Mrs. Asa Darling.

The UMW of the York Center United Methodist Church is to meet Wednesday afternoon, May 1, with Mrs. Maude Eppers.

Among are people who attended the Choraliers concert Sunday afternoon in Greenwood were Mrs. William Schmidtke, Miss Daphne Beeckler, Miss Mabel Williams, Mrs. Myrtie Davis, Warren Davis, Mrs. Ploman and Mrs. Eppers. Mrs. Marcia Crothers is a member of the chorus.

Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and her sister, Mrs. Norman Freedlund of Sherwood, took their aunt, Mrs. Pearle Holmes, back to her home at Hancock Friday. They returned home Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte of Pleasant Ridge were afternoon and supper guests last Monday of her sister, Mrs. Myrtie Davis.

The Granton TOPS has received a first prize in a poster contest which it entered recently.

Granton Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet this (Thursday) evening at 8 p.m. with Mrs. Myrtie Davis.

Sunday callers at the home of Mrs. William Schmidtke were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gilbertson of Wausau and Mrs. Ralph Tausheck of Wisconsin Rapids.
