The Whitewater State College Chapter of the National Future Business Leaders of America were formally installed in a ceremony which was held on Monday, March 18, 1957, at 8:00 p.m. in the college auditorium.

Ray Rupple, Waukesha, state FBLA advisor, conducted the installation ceremony with the assistance of past state officers. Following the installation, Miss Clarice Kline, past president of the Wis. Education Association and a teacher at Waukesha High School, spoke on "Roud to Teach." A reception followed the program.

The group, which was formerly known as the Commercial Club, voted to unite with the national FBLA in a meeting last October. FBLA is sponsored by the Business Education Association, a department of the National Education Association. The purpose of FBLA is to develop competent, aggressive business leadership by active participation in business projects in the home and the community.

The Whitewater chapter has a membership of 289. Officers are Jack Filipiak, Milwaukee, President; Darlene Horn, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), vice president; Sylvia Felland, Ladysmith, secretary; David Hanson, Oshkosh, treasurer; and Vicki Kunst, Birnamwood, publicity chairman. Advisor of the group is Henry C. Collins, a member of the business education faculty.
