Niewolny, Patricia A. (Urmanski) (31 JAN 1933 - 30 OCT 2015)

Patricia A. Niewolny, 82, of Wausau, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015, at Mt View Care Center.

She was born January, 31, 1933, in the Town of Rietbrock, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joe and Helen (Pietrowski) Urmanski.

Pat was a graduate of Edgar High School and began working at Employers Mutual Insurance. She met George Niewolny and they were united in marriage on August 26, 1953 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgar.

After their marriage Pat raised her family and worked at Tornows IGA grocery and Rib Mountain Greenhouse. Pat was a master gardener and she enjoyed her flowers, sewing, and crafts. She also did volunteer work for the Chamber of Commerce and Shriners. Pat was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish where she devoted much of her time in teaching CCD classes, serving as Eucharistic Minister and planning and volunteering at the annual Holy Name Festival.

George and Pat enjoyed traveling and camping throughout the states especially their visits to Florida, Hawaii and trips up north, where they enjoyed fishing.. Survivors include; four children, Michael (Marcia) Niewolny, Karen (Dave) Wendorf, Kenneth Niewolny, and Linda (Steve) Radtke, all of Wausau; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers; Richard (Jeanette) Urmanski, James (Rita) Urmanski both of Edgar and Francis (Geri) Urmanski of Tomahawk, and one sister; Helen Mae Paul of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by her husband George in October, 2012, a brother and sister-in-law; Joseph and Elsie Urmanski.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1104 South 9th Ave, Wausau. Father Bob Thorn will officiate. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Monday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Friends may call again starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church.
