The LCW met at the Trinity Lutheran Church parlors, Wednesday afternoon, August 12, with Senior Citizens as special guests. Miss Mayme Yahr led the devotions.

Mrs. Ansel Messer was in charge of the program. Songs were sung by Georgia and Brenda Brandt. Wedding dresses of former years were modeled by Diane Ringquist, Gail Kuehling, Karen Carlson and Debbie Edblom. Susan Brenner was dressed as a miniature bride of today. Contests with prizes were played.

Volunteers will meet to make more church banners at 1:30, August 24. A potluck lunch was served. September hostesses will be Mrs. Lester Ewert, Mrs. Herman Francan and Mrs. Dennis Kuehling.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lynn returned to Minneapolis on Friday after visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lynn and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lynn since Tuesday. Mitch Merkel, Marshfield, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lynn from Monday through Friday.

Wednesday guests of Mrs. Minnie Cook, Miss Anne Yahr and Miss Mayme Yahr were Miss Elam Jean Peake, Springfield, Ill.; Miss Ches Oyan, New York City; and Miss Mabel Lynn of Wis. Rapids.

Mrs. Ferd Ewald left Thursday for her home at Detroit, Mich., after visiting the past ten days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson.

Debbie Ewert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Ewert, Wauwatosa, spent several days last week with her grandmother, Mrs. Dora Ewert.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cook and son, Joel, of Leola, Pa., left Monday after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cook since last Tuesday. Sunday visitors at the Calvin Cook home were Mr. and Mrs. Richard LaCert of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Radetzky and family, Marshfield.

Sharon Cook spent several days last week at Minneapolis visiting her brother, Jeffrey Cook. Jeffrey spent the weekend with his parents, the Calvin Cooks. He was accompanied back to Minneapolis by his sister, Sharon, who will leave from there for Pullman, Washington, where she will visit her brother, Terry Cook.

Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Norton left Friday for their home at Hammond, Indiana after visiting since Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mills.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jost, Judy and Jamie, returned home Saturday from a week's vacation with Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Vandeberg of Neenah, at Pickerel Lake near Waupaca.

Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Rabehl from Tuesday to Friday was Mrs. Edna Ackerman of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Rabehl and Donnie visited with relatives at Couderay on Sunday.

Mrs. Emily Meske is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Archie Thompson, for two weeks. She is from Madison.

Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Thompson one day last week were Mrs. Gladys Seig of Hot Springs, S.D.; Mrs. John Stillson of Madison, S.D.; Mrs. Rachel Jensen of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Mrs. Millie Korwell of Chippewa Falls.

Pastor and Mrs. Robert Sutherland and family returned Friday from a vacation spent at Luther Point Bible Camp, Gransburg.

Mrs. Dora Ewert, Frank and William Siegrist accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ewert of Marshfield to Rochester, Minn., where they spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clair Ewert and sons.

Mrs. George Cook and Mrs. Clarence Ravy and Grant Herrick of Curtiss spent the weekend at Townsend with Mr. and Mrs. Stan Woods.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seville and sons of Seymour, Indiana, returned home last Tuesday and Miss Rosemary Jordon left this Tuesday for Denver, Colorado, after visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordon.

Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Justman were in Milwaukee Sunday to attend the baptism of their grandson, Brett Jay Slikarla, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Slikarla. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Justman of Rockford, Ill., were the sponsors.
