Richard Synol, age 70, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at his daughters home, under the care of Theda Care Hospice, on August 11, 2015, with family by his side.

Richard, also known as “Dickie”, “Dick”, “The Ole Buck”, or “R.J.”, was born on August 30, 1944, in Rib Lake, WI to the late Walter and Bernice Synol. He grew up in Rib Lake and graduated from Rib Lake High School.

He joined the service during the Vietnam War and served his country honorably from 1964 to 1968. Upon returning home to Rib Lake, he married Sharon Shawano of Laona.
