Langreck, Mr. and Mrs. Jake (Golden - 8 January 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Langreck of Rt. 1 Neillsville, observed their Golden wedding anniversary Saturday evening with a dinner at the Wildcat Inn. After the meal, the couple, together with their children and other close family members, attended mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church where they were married January 8, 1924, by the Rev. Peter Weber.

Mrs. Langreck is the former Veronica Ziglinske, a native of the Neillsville area. Her husband came here with his family from St. Lucas, Ia., in December of 1914.

Since their marriage, the Langrecks have lived on the same farm, located on the Cemetery road about a mile east of Neillsville in the Town of Grant. They are now retired. Mr. Langreck, a farmer and a carpenter by trade, built the farm buildings, including the house in which the couple lives. Mrs. Langreck enjoys gardening and flowers; she has been member of the Pine Valley Homemakers Club for many years. Both are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of the Neillsville Senior Citizens organization.
