Laub, Estelle B. (Pagel) (26 AUG 1924 - 20 JUL 2015)

Estelle B. (Pagel) Laub, age 90, of Athens, WI, went to be with our LORD on July 20, 2015 at her home with her family beside her with the assistance of Hope Hospice. She was born August 26, 1924, in the Town of Greenwood.

Estelle attended Greenwood Elementary School and Rib Lake High School. She was married December 19, 1942 to Lester E. Laub Sr. at Peace Lutheran Church, Dorchester.

She was a homemaker and seamstress, an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving in the Bible Club, Ladies of Immanuel and choir member. Estelle was an officer for the American Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer at Memorial Health Center, Medford. She loved sewing and needlework. One of her favorite pastimes was watching and feeding the humming birds in her yard.

Estelle is survived by daughter Lucille (Tom) Eisenreich, Coon Rapids, MN, son Lester E. Laub Jr., Athens, daughter Mary Glamann, Kodiak, AK and son John L. (Jane) Laub Sr. of Athens. She is also survived by 11grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester E. Laub Sr., on August 26, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Anna A. (Lebenau) Pagel, twin sister Esther Schriener, sisters Christina Wudi and Theresa Peche, and brother Martin Pagel.

A service celebrating Estelle’s life will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford, on Saturday, August 1, at 11:00. Visitation will be from 9:00 until time of service. There will be a lunch to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the family to be designated at a future date.
