County Farms Corner (10 Oct 1918)

This is moving week in our vicinity. Chas. Thompson of Pine Valley moved on the Wm. Bradford farm he recently purchased. Wm. Bradford moved onto the George Frei farm, which he had bought and Mr. and Mrs. Frei have moved to Neillsville.

Mrs. P.A. Cross of Neillsville visited with the Peck and Winkleman families a few days last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Uhlman and daughter and Miss Greeler of Dodge County are visiting in the Winkleman and Greeler families for a few days.

Miss Lillian Brooks of York spent from Friday until Sunday with her sister, Mrs. Wayne Potter, and family.

Mrs. F.D. Potter of Neillsville visited with her sons, Wayne and Harlan, over Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Murphy of Calumet, Mich., stopped with her sister, Mrs. A.B. Schuler, for a few days on their wedding trip.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Worchel and baby Marvin were Sunday visitors with the George Reindel family.

Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Schuler and Mr. and Mrs. J. Murphy visited the Krueger scene near Withee Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kelch and son drove to Christie Sunday and visited Mrs. Walter Kelch at the Mores home.

The farewell party given at the home of Mr., and Mrs. Wm. Bradford Monday evening was largely attended by neighbors and friends. All report a fine time.

Melchoir Hoesley filled silo for Gus. Reichert Monday.

Mrs. Ed. Ackerman helped Mrs. George Frie pack her household goods and get ready to move to Neillsville Monday, where Mr. and Mrs. Frei expect to enjoy their remaining years in rest.

Chas. Kupke, Sr., and family were called to West Pine Valley Sunday to see Mrs. Marg, who is very sick.
