Janesville Settlement (10 Oct 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Christman of Janesville, Wis., spent several days at J.H. Stafford’s of Greenwood and at Al. Flagg’s and Clark Hatton’s homes, returning Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Chas. Churkey spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. F. Hatton.

Roger Dillenbeck, Evan Hatton and Miss Annabel Moorhead attended the Home Guard dance at Greenwood Friday evening.

Mrs. Dillenbeck called on Mrs. Wm. Rowert Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hatton and son spent Sunday at Al. Flagg’s.

The Red Cross meeting this Thursday will be with Mrs. Dillenbeck. There will be five more ladies willing to knit. Inez Clintsman joined the Red Cross last week so we have another new member.

Chas. Churkey called at F. Hatton’s Sunday.

Anna and Sophia Waseca spent Sunday with Inez Clintsman.

Lyle Bostwick spent Wednesday at the Marlik home.

Mrs. Jake Saulmerson called on Mrs. Wm. Rowert one day last week.

Mrs. M.M. Bahl called at F. Hatton’s Friday afternoon.

Pete Peterson and son, Kent, were business callers at Greenwood Friday night.

Miss Lena Halle of Milwaukee, Mrs. John Meinke of Calvery, Wis., Bruno Halle and wife of Fond du Lac came Saturday to attend the funeral of their brother, Private Arnold Halle.
