Kennow, Rodney W. (31 AUG 1944 – 24 JUN 2015)

Rodney W. Kennow, age 70, of Loyal, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Rodney William Kennow was born on August 31, 1944, in Marshfield, WI, the son of Wilder and Isabelle (Ryan) Kennow. He was raised and received his education in Edgar, and graduated from Columbus High School, in Marshfield, in 1962. With a love of farming, Rod spent his formative years working weekends and summer vacations on his uncle Lawrence Ryan's farm north of Loyal. After completing his education, he continued working on the farm as well as working at Miller Cheese Factory north of Loyal. In 1966, Rod began employment at Land O' Lakes in Spencer. He retired in 2011 after 45 years.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, and had many interests, but especially enjoyed following local sports teams, the Packers, bowling and playing softball.

He will be dearly missed by 2 sisters, LucyAnn (John) Scheuer of Marshfield; Mary Jo Kennow of Marshfield; one brother, Kevin (Sara) Kennow of Marshfield; 3 nieces, Melissa (Ian) Bell, Monica (Tom) Paul, Amy Kennow; 4 nephews, David Scheuer, Patrick Scheuer, Steven (Tisha) Scheuer, Michael (Carrie) Scheuer; 6 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Anthony Parish.
