Mantik, Ruby Jean (11 JUN 1966)

Miss Ruby Jean Mantik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mantik, and Emery Don Peissig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Peissig, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged marriage promise at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11, 1966. Mr. Mantik presented his daughter in marriage.

Officiating at the nuptials in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, were Rev. Roger S. Tellock and James Neiderloh, the latter a student pastor. Miss Paulette Reckner of Marshfield was the organist and Mrs. Archie Abbott, Menomonie, the soloist. She sang "Wedding Prayer," "The Lord's Prayer," "Entreat Me not to Leave Thee" and "Song of Ruth."

When the bride approached the altar, which was decorated with blue, white and orchid chrysanthemums, she was wearing a high waisted gown featuring a standing band collar, fitted midriff and straight skirt. The dress, made of crepe, was trimmed with Alencon lace on the edge of the raglan sleeves, midriff and collar, and the skirt ended in a train trimmed with Alencon lace at attached at the back above the midriff.

Her bouffant veil was held by a pearl petal headpiece and she carried an arrangement of Fuji mums, ivy vines and two clusters of blue and orchid grapes.

Preceding the bride into the church were her aides, Miss Sally Mantik, Abbotsford, the maid of honor, and Mrs. Jack Armstron, Park Falls and Mrs. James Neiderloh, Minneapolis, Minn., the bridesmaids.

They wore two piece dresses of sky blue crepe having floor length straight skirts and slightly lowered neckline. The flower girl, Pamela Mantik, donned a blue empire short skirted dress. Each aide held a bouquet of blue and orchid Fuji mums with ivy.

Roch Allen Mantik was the ring bearer; Casey Sylla, Whitehall, the best man; Dennis Laabs, Curtiss and Gerald Mantik, Edgar, were groomsmen, and Bruce Armstrong, Madison and Peter Nelson, Red Oak, Ia. were ushers.

The wedding reception was held in the church parlors. Following a honeymoon spent in the west and in the Black Hills area, the Peissigs will make Casper, Wyoming their home.

Mr. Peissig is a field engineer for Lane-Wells Oil Co. He attended Wis. State University, Eau Claire and graduated this year from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla. Mrs. Peissig, who will be employed as a home economics teacher, graduated this year from Stout State University, Menomonie, where she was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
