Neillsville Locals (8 November 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pankau and Karen of Oshkosh were weekend visitors of Mrs. Marie Keller. Other Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Paulson, Mrs. Paul Blum, Miss Johanna Blum, Mr and Mrs. James Simenson and family and Mr and Mrs. Wedell Ott and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Houdek of Westchester, Il., and Mrs. May Pierce of North Judson, In., spent last week with their sister, Mrs. Anna Hudec.

Mrs. David Bertz, her mother, Mrs. Forrest Thompson, and Mrs. Thompson’s sister, Mrs. Cecil Rossenbach of Merrillan, drove recently to Agra, Okla., where Mrs. Rossenbach has a winter home. Mrs. Bertz and her mother returned to Neillsville last Sunday. While in Oklahoma, they visited the Oral Roberts University campus, the Rose Gardens and the Gilcrest Museum in Tulsa, and also toured a pottery factory at Sapulpa.

Mr. McCann of Waukesha called Sunday at the Lewis Scholtz home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burr, Edwin Freund, Florentine Nosbisch and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Feuerstein drove to Le Roy, Mn Saturday where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winkels. From there, they went on to Riceville, Ia., to visit Mr. and Mrs. Fred Blake and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Kesten. Sunday they attended a family reunion at the Fred Halbach home in Stacyville, Ia., before returning to Neillsville that evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Gustman and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gustman visited in Jim Falls Sunday with the men’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Grewe and family.

Mrs. Oscar Kuenkel was a Sunday dinner guest and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Ulesich at Willard. Mr and Mrs. Art Zerbel, Humbird, visited with Mrs. Kuenkel Friday evening.

Tom Potter, who attends school in Kenosha, was a weekend visitor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Simonson and family.

Callers Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lavine were her niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Val Berzins and three children of Sparta.

Weekend guests at the Peter Rand home were their two daughters, Mrs. Steve Kapicak of Northbrook, Il., and Mrs. Harriet Ricci of Oak Lawn, Il., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Ed Shinton of Libertyville, Il.
