Wilke, Catherine Marie (Marriage - 27 October 1973)

The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated October 27 at the marriage of Miss Catherine Marie Wilke of Rt. 2, Loyal and Dennis James Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Weber of Rt. 2 Elmwood. The couple exchanged vows at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.

Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride appeared in an empire-waist gown of nylon organza over taffeta and lace. Her fingertip veil was held by a lace petal headpiece trimmed with sequins. A cascade of white spider mums and lavender pompons completed her ensemble.

Miss Diane Wilke, Loyal, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Patricia Wilke, Loyal, and Miss Rosalind Martin, Wausau. Miss Louann Wilke, Loyal, was the junior bridesmaid. Their empire-waist gowns of purple velvet and lavender chiffon over taffeta were complimented by purple velvet bow headpieces. Each carried a single, long-stemmed mum with white baby’s breath.

Serving as bestman was Richard Weber. Groomsmen were Dan Bauer, Menomonie, and Roger Claflin, Durand. Edward Wilke and Craig Unser shared ushering duties.

Music at the wedding was provided by Mrs. Diane Andregg, Mrs. Sharon Schoonover, Judy Zettler and Jody Schoonover.

The Loyal Fire Hall was chosen as the setting for a reception and dance.

The bride, a graduate of Loyal High School, also attended North Central Technical Institute. She has been employed at Memorial Home. Her husband graduated from Elmwood High School and also attended North Central Technical Institute. He is employed by a Menomonie form as a parts-man.
