Globe (26 Sep 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bahr of Marshfield were here on a few days’ visit with the former’s daughter, Mrs. Schwellenbach, and other relatives.

A pie party was held at Ferdinand Grap’s Sunday evening. A large crowd was present and $7.25 was taken in, which will go to the Red Cross.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Davis of Marshfield were overnight visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Grap last Friday.

Private Gus. Kalsow left this week Tuesday for Camp Grant after a month’s furlough.

Mrs. Fred Kalsow has been on the sick list and under a doctor’s care.

Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Pischer of Granton were callers at the Mallig home Monday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and daughter and Mrs. Melby of Chicago and Mrs. Free Burge called on Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Grap Monday afternoon.

The Globe School will open Monday, Sept. 30, with Miss Irene Maxwell of Neillsville as teacher.

A farewell party was held at the Hoffman home Sunday for Gus Kalsow.
