Mrs. Anna C. Peterson, who spent the past month at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brady, returned to her home Sunday at Montello.

Thanksgiving services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Curtiss, Thursday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m.

Robert Benson of Abbotsford was the guest speaker at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Sunday morning, Nov. 21.

Several ladies, neighbors and friends help Mrs. Carla Lien celebrate her birthday at he home Tuesday afternoon.

Glen Schwandt,w ho had been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, returned home Tuesday.

Fred Rahn returned home from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Friday, after being a patient there for a week.

The Curtiss Homemakers met at the fire hall on Tuesday evening, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Erna Tellock and Mrs. Bertha Peterson presented the lesson on family dinners. Hostesses were Dorothy Geary and Mrs. Geraldine Frane.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Witt were Sunday guests at the Harvey Witt Jr. home in Owen.

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Peissig and children of Sacramento, Calif. arrived here last week to spend their vacation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig.

Tech Sgt. and Mrs. Clyde Peissig and family of Grand Forks, N.D. are also guests there.

On Saturday morning they joined Franklin’s hunting party of eight hunters who shot five deer the first day as follows: Franz Peissig, a buck; Arthur Peissig, a buck, Emery Peissig, a buck; Claude Peissig, a buck; Clyde Peissig, a buck, and Clayton shot a party deer on Sunday.

Other successful deer hunters were through Sunday: C.W. Geary, Walter Nicks Sr., Donald Koerner, Walter Nicks Jr., three bucks, Victor Borgemoen, John Laabs, each a buck, Floyd Klemetson, a party deer, Herbert Kuegler, a buck, Albert Schultz, a party deer, Robert Scidmore, Barney Roytek, Leo Kraut, a party deer, George Shattuck and sons, three bucks, and John Kobs and Jerry Hill, a buck each.

Mrs. Emma Haemer, Mrs. Henry Buss helped Mrs. Elizabeth Buss celebrate her birthday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Hill Sunday afternoon.

Miss Nancy Alenius of Milwaukee, Mrs. Laurer Ostlund, Mrs. Inez Ostlund of Superior were weekend guests ofat the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ackermann.

Mrs. Martha Harmel left for Appleton last Friday, where she will spend a week at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Smith and family.

Airman 3rd class Carlin Koffarnus visited his buddy, Airman 3rd class Ervin Johnson at Iron Mountain, Mich. Wednesday. He was accompanied by Carl Haemer. On Thursday they visited with his sister, Susan Haemer, who is employed at Green Bay. They returned home Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerald May and and family of Eau Claire were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Armin Peterson.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Grube and family of Chicago were weekend guests at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Grube.

Mrs. Bertha Peterson is spending this week at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orville, Schuette, Unity.
