Schultze, Richard M. (27 February 1932 - 8 April 2015) With Flag

Richard M. Schultze, 83, of Stanley, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Sacred Heart Hospital-Eau Claire. He was born on February 27, 1932, to the late Max and Mildred (Baumgarten) Schultze. Dick was raised in the Town of Worden and later served his country in the marines. He returned to Stanley and worked as cheesemaker for Cloverleaf and LaGrander’s cheese factories for 33 years.

On June 6, 1963, he was united in marriage to Polly Ann Cotts in Stanley. Dick enjoyed fishing, gardening, and his dog, Daisy.

He is survived by two daughters: Roxane (Mike) Klatt of Chippewa Falls and Jean (Jonathan) Jarocki of Fall Creek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his step-children: Judy (Harvey) Rossman of Thorp, Barbara Neal of Wausau, Byron (Becky) Lindman of Yuma, AZ, Shirley (Ron) Lewis of New Glarus, and Myron Lindman of ND; brothers: Jerry (Kay) Schulze of Tucson, AZ, Dutch (Jeri) Schultze of Bradenton, FL, John (Burlene) Schultze of Sioux Falls, SD, Max (Nancy) Schultze, Jr., of Stanley, Harry (Sheila) Schultze of Eau Claire, Calvin (Jean) Schultze of Stanley; and his sisters: Pat (Sam) Mason of Thorp, Penny (Mike) Gillette of Marshfield, and Sally Lowe of Thorp.

Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Ann (1986); his parents; six brothers: Raymond, Dale, William, James, Henry and Howard; and two sisters: Mae Franz and Jean Schultze.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley. Visitation was from 2 p.m. until time of service on Saturday.
