Auberg, Sharon Kay (28 AUG 1965)

Mr. and Mrs. David E. Berg, who were married Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, 1965, at 3 o’clock in St. John’s Lutheran Church at Withee, are residing on route 2, Gilman, where the groom is engaged in farming.

The former Miss Sharon Kay Auberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Auberg of Eau Claire, became the bride of the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Berg, Gilman, before the Rev. LeRoy Urman. She was given in marriage by her father. Pastel colored gladioli graced the church altar and the pews were decorated with large white bows. Miss Sharon Heideman presided at the organ as Mrs. Dorothy Klabon soloed in “O Perfect Love.”

The bride chose a white floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta styled by a Sabrina neckline and lace appliques on the full skirt. Pearls and sequins adorned her crown which secured a fingertip veil and red roses and white carnations made up her colonial bouquet.

Mrs. Vernon Raether of Michigan served as matron of honor, with bridesmaids, Mrs. Earl Berg of Chicago, Ill. And Miss Clarice Berg, Gilman. Each wore a floor length gown of white and blue with lace tops having round necklines, and A-line skirts. They carried blue tited carnations and white roses.

Vernon Raether came from Michigan to serve as best man, with groomsmen, Earl Berg, Chicago and Gene Hakes, Cadott. Lanny Auberg and Randall ?uball had charge of ushering the wedding guests.

After the church services a reception was held in the wedding guests.

The bride graduated in May of this year from the Owen-Withee High School and the groom attended high school at Gilman.
