Dux, Everett Herbert (10 September 1925 - 3 March 2015) With Flag

Everett H. Dux, 89, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Everett Herbert Dux was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Neillsville, the son of Albert and Alma (Nemitz) Dux. He was united in marriage to Angelyn Marg June 14, 1947, in Neillsville. Together they farmed and raised their family. Everett was an excellent farmer like his father and grandfather before him, who worked very hard over the years to grow his dairy herd and farm operation. Everett farmed until 1995 and then worked part-time at Figi’s and Russell’s of Neillsville. He was also very active in his community, serving on the Fairview School Board in the Town of Weston, the Neillsville Farmer’s Union Cooperative Board and St. John’s Lutheran Church Council. He was a lifelong member of AMPI, Foremost and Pure Milk. Everett was an honest and friendly man and was liked by all. He was a great father and husband who served as a role model to his children in many ways. His favorite times were spent with his family, attending grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. He also enjoyed doing Sudoku and watching sports on TV.

He is survived by his wife, Angelyn; five children: Kathy (Wayne) Wegner of Neillsville, Lawrence (Karen) Dux of Pewaukee, Eugene (Mary) Dux of Neillsville, Leroy (Robin) Dux of Lakeland, FL, and William (Angela) Dux of Combined Locks; 16 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Marie (Clarence) Meier; a brother, Norman (Carol)Dux; a sister-in-law, Ina Mae Dux; and special friends, Dan and Wendy Bautch and their girls.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Bradley Wegner; a brother, Melvin; and a sister, Irene Meier.

Funeral services for Everett were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor Timothy Biebert officiated. Sharon Nemitz, organist, provided music. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and again from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday morning at the church.
