Svetlik, Toni Jeanne (Marriage - 8 September 1973)

A garden reception at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony C. Svetlik, Neillsville, followed the marriage of Miss Toni Jeanne Svetlik and Richard ‘Rick’ Lee Sturtz Saturday, September 8, at 12:30 p.m. The couple repeated vows at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville before the Rev. Charles D. Brady. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sturtz II Neillsville, are the groom’s parents.

The bride appeared in a homemade gown of white Irish linen styled with a square neckline and bordered with a wide ruffle. She carried a basket of yellow and white daisies and baby’s breath as she was presented in marriage by her father.

A yellow daisy nosegay with yellow-checked ribbons accented the blue-checked, white-trimmed gown worn by maid of honor Miss Vicky Svetlik.

Serving as bestman was Dan Hein, Madison. Guests were seated by Skip Sturtz, Neillsville, and Tom Meyer, Marshfield.

Guitar and vocal selections were presented by Susie Thurow and Jack Szamanda, Madison, friends of the bridal couple and former ‘Kids from Wisconsin.’

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, the new Mrs. Sturtz teaches at DeForest. Her husband attends the University of Wisconsin and will graduate in December.

They will live at 2211 Woodview Court in Madison.
