Oestreich, Sharon (6 DEC 1941 – 4 AUG 1967)

A former Unity resident, Mrs. Richard D. Oestreich of rural Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), 25, was fatally injured Friday about 8 p.m. when the car she was riding in collided with a truck at the intersection of Highways H and K, about five mile south of Loyal.

Her husband, who was not seriously injured, was driving. The truck driven by Floyd L. Nelson, route 1, Fairchild, was traveling east on H and stuck the Oestreich car, traveling south on K, on the right side. Mr. and Mrs. Oestreich were thrown from their car. There is a stop sign on H, and Clark County authorities are continuing their investigation.

Funeral services for Mrs. Oestreich were conducted Tuesday at the Loyal Methodist Church and burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.

The former Sharon Fischer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fischer of Riplinger (Clark Co.), was born Dec. 6, 1941, at Iron Mountain, Mich. The family moved to Loyal when she was seven eyars old. Her marriage to Richard D. Oestreich took place Oct. 15, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Rick, five years, and Ron, four years; two brothers, Rodney and Douglas Fischer, Riplinger; a sister, Mrs. Allen (Penny) Schmutzler, Riplinger, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fischer of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schofield of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
