Pleasant Ridge (23 August 1973)

David Lewis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis, together with his cousin, Mark Chadwick, and Glen Luchterhand and their agriculture teachers, spent three days last week at the Wisconsin State Fair. David and mark gave a demonstration with the model dairy barn which they built, and received a blue participation ribbon. In their spare time, the boys earned some extra spending money by washing milking machines at the huge dairy barn.

Mrs. Clarion Counsell recently attended a family reunion at Boltonville. She accompanied her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler of Loyal, to the gathering.

Pleasant Ridge Homemakers are to meet this (Thursday) evening at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Theamore Vine.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Drescher visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Campbell in Black River Falls.

Mrs. Betty Currin of Chicago spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Matousek.

Miss Barbara Hillert of Chili is spending some time at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Vine. Mr. and Mrs. Vine, Kenneth and Ronnie, Barbara and the Dale Vine family attended a prenuptial shower Sunday afternoon at the Unity Park for Johnny Crasselt and Kathie Krohn.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kwasniewski of Milwaukee are spending two weeks with their nephew and his family, the Richard Raebels.

Mr. and Mrs. Darol Lewis and family visited his father, William Lewis, at the Osseo nursing home recently.

Monday visitors and dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Ruben Hantke and Pauline were Mr. and Mrs. George Burkhart of Fox Lake, Il., and his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Art Fischer of Tampa, Fl. The Burkharts and the Fischers had spent some time camping at Snyder Park.
