Wedding vows were exchanged on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1969 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Withee, between Miss Lois Jean Hatlestad, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Dallas Loy Wuethrich, Greenwood (Clark Co.)

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hatlestad, Withee, and Mr. and Mrs. John D. Wuethrich, Jr., Greenwood.

The Rev. Leroy Urman officiated at the ceremony and Mrs. Herman Rabska played and Miss Sue Westendorf sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was seen in a white Camelot empire styled entrained gown of rayon and silk organza with lace, along with a veil, bouffant and elbow-length, secured to a matching medallion and Alencon lace, crystal and pearl headpiece. Her flowers were a white orchid, yellow roses and white stephanotis.

Mrs. Roger Dettmering, Baraboo, was the matron of honor, and Miss Diane Peissig and Miss Trudy Tytor, Madison, and Mrs. Phillip Mattes, Jr., Thorp, were her bridesmaids.

The attendants were seen in identical Nile green empire waisted floor length dotted Swiss gowns with crocheted lace jabots and matching crocheted lace hats with velvet streamers. Each had a colonial bouquet of yellow carnations and white pompons.

John Johnson, Greenwood, was asked to be best man. Groomsmen were Sam Dunn, Eau Claire, Dave Hattlestad, Withee, and Phillip Mattes, Jr., Thorp; and as ushers, Jim Hatlestad, Thorp, and Keith Stump, Greenwood.

A 4:30 p.m. dinner was served in the church parlors and a 7 p.m. reception and dance were held at the Meadow View Country Club at Owen.

Mrs. Wuethrich was a 1968 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and then attended Madison Academy of Beauty Culture.

Her husband is a 1964 graduate of Greenwood High School, attended Wis. State University – River Falls, and presently is employed by Grassland Butter Co., Greenwood.

The couple will live on route 1, Greenwood, following a wedding trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota and Yellowstone National Park.
