Miss Mary J. Polzin, Abbotsford, and Sp/4 Ronald Ampe, Fort Carson, Colorado, exchanged wedding vows on Aug. 23, 1969 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, with the Rev. N.E. King officiating. Michael Tucker played the organ.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Polzin, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ampe, Sr., route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride given in marriage by her father wore an empire gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta, with an A-line skirt. The chapel train was organza with matching Chantilly lace trim. The veil was of lace with crown. Her flowers were red and white roses with a lily of the valley.

Miss Esther Polzin, Marshfield, was the maid of honor, and the brides matrons were Mrs. Paul Ampe Jr., Kenosha, and Mrs. Ted Polzin, Colby.

The aides were seen in matching empire dresses of chiffon over taffeta which were loden green in color with matching veils. They carried yellow roses.

Gloria Polzin, Abbotsford, was the ring bearer.

Attending the groom as best man was Arlyn Ampe, Loyal. Groomsmen were Paul Ampe Jr., Kenosha, and Ted Polzin, Colby.

Ushering the guests were Raymond Wehe, Loyal, and John Polzin, Abbotsford.

Wedding day events included a reception at the bowling alley, supper at the church hall and dance at Colby Park.

The bride was a 1968 graduate of Abbotsofrd High School and was employed by Weinbrenner Shoe Factory.

The groom graduated from Loyal High School with the class of 1966, and is presently serving with the U.S. Army at Ft. Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has served one year in Vietnam.
