East Weston – West York (25 Jul 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Raether of Milwaukee are visiting at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Fred Wendt, Jr.

Miss Naomi Nutting of Loyal is assisting Mrs. Howard Bagley with her housework.

Hallie Stockwell is on the sick list. His brother-in-law, O.B. Jordan, is building a barn wall for him.

Mrs. Maggie Acker of Whitehall is visiting her sister, Mrs. Ed. Bagley.

Everyone has been out hunting for blueberries the past week and most of them have been successful.

Our school clerk, Mrs. Della Armitage, was around taking the school census the first of the week.

Word was received Saturday by Theo. Brown that his grandson, Will Wilson, was killed in France the latter part of May. He and three of his brothers enlisted over a year ago.

Mart Lastofka was up from Neillsville several days last week showing the boys at Panther Creek how to make hay.

Mrs. John Bagley is visiting her sister, Mrs. A. Brusson, in Loyal this week.
