Vandeberg, Virginia Mae (23 JUN 1951)

On Saturday, June 23, 1951, at the First Methodist Church , Christie (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Virginia Mae Vandeberg of Neillsville, became the bride of Jesse Richmond Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Richmond Sr., also of Neillsville. The Rev. Virgil Nulton officiated a the 2:00 service.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of floral organdy with a snug fitted bodice and long sleeves which tapered to points at the wrists. Her fingertip veil fell from pearlized headdress and she carried a colonial bouquet of tea roses and swansonia.

Miss Sara Koch, Two Rivers, as maid of honor, and Miss Joyce Vandeberg, Neillsville, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore pink and blue floral organdy gowns, respectively. Their bouquets were of pink carnations and sweet peas.

Erland Greeler, Neillsville, was best man, and Donald Richmond, brother of the groom, was groomsman.

Milford Vandeberg, Loyal, cousin of the bride, and Richard Schellinger, Loyal, cousin of the groom, were the ushers.

Miss Delores Greeler played the wedding march, and accompanied Alice and Norbert Kier, cousins of the bride, who sang “I Love You Truly: and The God of Love.”

a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Neillsville High School, and the groom graduate from the University of Wisconsin Short Course at Madison. They will reside on a farm near Christie.

Guests at the wedding were from Brandon, Ripon, Milwaukee, Wis. Rapids, Marshfield and Washington.
