Michalewicz, RoseAnne B. (Cooney) (27 DEC 1929 - 27 NOV 2014)

RoseAnne B. Michalewicz, 85, Wausau, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Edson, daughter of the late Charles and Susan (Spath) Cooney. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married Stanley Michalewicz at St. Mary Catholic Church, Stanley. He survives.

She attended St. Mary School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at St. Mary Hospital, the former Mount View Manor and Colonial Manor. She enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley, Wausau; six children, Sally (Jerry) Artus, Marathon, Karen (David) Caviggiola, Chassell, Mich., Kathy (Randy) Jansen, Marathon, John (Terri) Michalewicz, Newnan, Ga., David (Mary) Michalewicz, Edgar, and Richard (Linda) Michalewicz, Edgar; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Janisewski; and two brothers, Charles “Jervis” (Pat Griswold) Cooney and Merton (Betty) Cooney.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by infant daughter, Mary; daughter, Lynn Karlen; and sister, Charlene Olson.

The funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 1 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Robert Thorn presided. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, town of Cassel.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau, assisted the family with arrangements.
