Frank Gwiazdon, who suffered a heart attack recently, is recovering at the Stanley Memorial Hospital. For the next few weeks only the immediate family will be able to visit.

Mrs. Josephine Wichlacz is a patient at the Victory Memorial Hospital.

Monday evening supper guests at the Bill Butek home were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Potapenko and Bert Wald and Bob Butek.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gulczynski and family of Minneapolis visited with his mother, Mrs. Julia Jasinski, and with the Florian Gulczynski family in Greenwood on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Emery Valek of Chicago spent the weekend with her parents of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Butek.

Friends gathered at the Frank Gostomski home Sunday evening and surprised him on his birthday. Cards were played and a delicious lunch was served, and he was wished many more birthdays.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn visited Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Hanson of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Koepp of Green Bay last weekend. They also called on Mrs. Florence Winter at the Medicare Nursing Home.

Mr. and Mrs. John Badzinski and family visited with their daughter and family in Waupaca over the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn were callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kaz on Tuesday.

Miss Luverne Fenstermacher and Mrs. Maude Kulwiec were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson and Mrs. Lloyd Endru at Stanley on Sunday.

Mr. Louis Wojtkiewicz and daughter Mary Ann left last week Thursday for Ingleside, Ill. To visit Mr. and Mrs. John Gorel and Mrs. Louis Wojtkiewicz, who was visiting them a week after being at the Grant Hospital in Chicago for three weeks. Mrs. Louis Wojtkiewicz has been suffering with trigeminal nerve on her left side of the face. The doctors claims this as the most painful neuralizeas to get. She returned home Sunday morning with her husband and daughters. She's still trying to find some results to get over this painful neuralizeas.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harycki visited their daughter, Sister M. Jessica, at Menasha on Sunday.

Mrs. Anton Velecheck and Mrs. Bertha Dudansky spent Monday afternoon with Mrs. Louis Kaczor.

Mr. and Mrs. Buck Paulus and Mrs. Theresa Stapleton of Eau Claire were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Bauer.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oldroyd were business callers in Eau Claire on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Soeller of Thorp and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Giesler and son Arden of Greenwood attended the funeral of Mrs. Soeller's brother, Mrs. Peter Smasal, on Monday in Edson, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Soeller visited with Mrs. Kate Soeller in Stanley on Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Persico of Osceola, Wis. spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tetzner.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn and Florence Hilbo were Tuesday evening supper guests of Mrs. Hollis Decker.

Mrs. Martha Decker and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Decker of Milwaukee spent part of the past weekend visiting with Mrs. Hollis Decker.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kaczor of Redville spent Saturday evening with Mrs. Louis Kaczor and family.

Mr. Harold Oldroyd spent Wednesday and Thursday at Holton on business, and also visited at the home of his son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Oldroyd, at Clear Lake.

Saturday dinner guests at the Cliff Ebben home were Mr. and Mrs. Harley Ivoma and daughter Jodi of Schiller Park, Ill., Ray Slowiak of North Lake, Ill., Chester Liszewski and Ed Slowiak of Franklin Park. They also visited their father Peter Slowiak, who is a patient at the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley. Miss Helen Slowiak of Wis. Rapids was a Friday visitor.

A1C Gerald J. Grajkowski of Beale AFB, Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Grajkowski, route 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), is spending a 30 day furlough at the home of his parents. After his leave he will be assigned 15 months of service with the Medics in the Taiwan Island.

Father Fred Radke from Franciscan Mission of Brazil spent last weekend in Thorp visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Baldeschwiler and other relatives and friends.
