Mellenthin, Janine Faye (Marriage - 2 June 1973)

Miss Janine Faye Mellenthin and Bruce Vilas Luepke were married June 2 in a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Spencer. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Mellenthin of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Luepke of Spencer.

Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a pale blue dotted Swiss gown styled with an empire waistline, accented with blue and white trim and framed by an elbow length white veil. Her flowers were blue, rose and white carnations and baby’s breath.

Gwen Mellenthin, Unity, was the maid of honor and Lois Podevels and Deb Sandley of Spencer and Janell Mellenthin of Unity were bridesmaids. Their empire-waist gown of turquoise dotted Swiss featured ribbon trim.
They carried bouquets of yellow roses, turquoise daisies and baby’s breath.

Glen Luepke, Spencer served as bestman. Groomsmen were Mike Cook, Port Washington, and Randy Mellenthin, Unity. Ushering duties were shared by Gary Luepke and Dennis Fisher, both of Spencer.

Deana Mellenthin of Unity was the flower girl.

Music at the wedding was provided by soloist Wayne Gehrke and organist Marsha Lynn.

A wedding reception was held at the Village Plaza in Spencer.

The newlyweds will live in Spencer where the groom is employed.
