Bonney, Kenneth, Sr. (30 July 1907 - ? 1973)

(First few lines are missing here) Burial was at the Campbell Cemetery at Eastman. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The son of Fred A. and Julia (Campbell) Bonney, Kenneth Bonney, Sr., was born July 30, 1907, in Crawford County and was educated at Eastman schools and Prairie du Chien High School. For a time, he was a foreman for the Motor Meter Company at La Crosse.

His marriage to the former Gladys Loomis took place October 24, 1928, at Prairie du Chien. For 26 years, the Bonneys lived at Mt. Sterling where he was a cheesemaker. Mr. Bonney won several local, state and national awards for his cheesemaking at Mt. Sterling and Eastman. He was manager of the Iowa County Dairy at Dodgeville for three years, and served as a state dairy and food inspector for the 16 years preceding his retirement in 1972 due to failing health.

Mr. Bonney was a member of the United Methodist Church, was very active in church affairs and served as chairman of the finance committee of the Neillsville United Methodist Church. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge, a former Kiwanian and former member of the Eastman volunteer fire department. He was also a member of the Modern Woodsmen of the World.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Gerald Bonney of Germantown, the Rev. Richard Bonney of Richfield and Kenneth Bonney, Jr.
