Kren, Bobbie (Marriage - 12 May 1973)

Miss Bobbie Kren and Dean Amundson exchanged wedding vows Saturday, May 12, in a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed at the Neillsville United Church of Christ by the Rev. Gary Clark. The newlyweds were honored later at a reception at the Wildcat Inn. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. Kren of Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Amundson of Rt. 1 Ridgeland.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar in an A-line, empire-waist gown of white crepe sati-peau enhanced by a Chantilly lace overlay with embroidered lavender flowers; fashioned by Linda Beyer, the Victorian style gown featured long, bell-puff sleeves with ruffle-edged cuffs and a chapel train. Her veil was floor length. A colonial spring bouquet of white and lavender fairy mums, baby’s breath, pink carnations, with purple static and leather-leaf fern completed the bridal ensemble.

Matron of honor was Linda Beyer and bridesmaids were Vicki Bauer, Cindy Hanson of Madison, and Gloria Amundson and Darlene Amundson of Ridgeland. Their lavender crepe A-line gowns were styled with lace-edged, white-cuffed long sleeves and lace-edged white collars on V-necklines. Each carried a single large, standard white mum accented by purple statice and leather-leaf fern.

Flower girl Tracy Siebert wore a deep lavender flowered pinafore over a floor-length white gown and carried a basket of spring flowers. Bryan Beyer served as ringbearer.

Greg Ailts of New Richmond acted as bestman. Groomsmen were Mark Kjseth and John Lemme of Amery, Mike Rugo of Deer Park and Larry Amundson of Ridgeland. Sharing ushering duties were Tim Kren and Raymond Nadeau of Amery.

Mary Jo Short sang “The Wedding Song” and “The First Time I Saw Your Face” to her guitar accompaniment.

The bride, a Neillsville High School graduate, attended District one Technical Institute Eau Claire and has been employed in Minneapolis, Mn. as a laboratory technician. Her husband, who graduated from Amery High School, also attended the Technical Institute at Eau Claire and has been employed in Minneapolis as a mechanical draftsman. Following their return from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, they plan to make their home in Eau Claire.
