Grambort, Ronald W. “Stub” (16 MAY 1932 - 23 OCT 2014)

Ronald W. “Stub” Grambort age 82, of Abbotsford, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Pine Ridge Assisted Living Center in Colby.

Ronald was born on May 16, 1932, the son of Walter and Norma (Ryder) Grambort in Marshfield. He attended Abbotsford Public Schools and was a 1950 graduate of Abbotsford High School. On December 13, 1952, Stub was united in marriage to Catherine “Kitty” Froeba at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.

After he graduated from high school Stub worked as a livestock dealer for Christensen-Grambort Livestock and eventually became a partner in the business. Ronald retired in 1992 and moved to Lake Tomahawk and then moved back to Abbotsford in 2013. Stub was a former director for Security State Bank and Mid-Wisconsin Bank.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Catherine Grambort of Abbotsford; sons, Gary (Tammy) Grambort of Colorado, Randy (Kathy) Grambort of Abbotsford, Dennis (Lori) Grambort of Minocqua and Jeff Grambort of Abbotsford, sister; Darlene Lamont of Abbotsford; grandchildren, Lindsey (Matt) Ried, Jen (Adam) Sutton, Abby (Travis) Frischman, Jessie Grambort, Clint (Lynn) Grambort, Jason Grambort and Josh Grambort; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Haylee, Peyton, Paisley, Parker, Devon, Trevor, Kaden, Kenzie and Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gerald and James Grambort.

A memorial Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Daniel Hackel presided. Interment was held in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery in Abbotsford. Family and friends were welcomed on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
