Edelburg, Clifford "Cliff" J. (10 APR 1929 - 24 OCT 2014)

Clifford "Cliff" J. Edelburg, 85, Rib Lake, died on Friday, Oct. 24 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, with Rev. Joseph Dietrich officiating. Inurnment of his cremated remains will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. His grandson, Butch "BJ" Wiegel will serve as urn bearer.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

Clifford Edelburg was born on April 10, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late Arthur C. and Clara C. (Schultz) Edelburg. He attended McDill area schools. He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953.

On July 16, 1955 in Medford, he married Patricia A. Smith, and they later divorced. They owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Greenwood and he also hauled pulpwood. He then worked for the Taylor County Highway Department and drove truck for various companies until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 15051. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking craft work, playing cards, going for drives and spending time with his family.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn King of Yadkinville, N.C., and Cindy (Bryan) Meyer of Rib Lake; a sister, Valerie Mezich of Plover; five grandchildren, Tasha (Chris) Wicks, Tabitha (Troy) Block, Butch "BJ" (Shannon) Wiegel, Jamie Meyer and Nick Meyer; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Edelburg, and a brother, Robert Edelburg.
