Dux, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred (Golden - 29 April 1973)

Three special occasions were observed Sunday, April 29, with a family dinner followed by an open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Anding on Rt. 1 Granton. The day marked the Golden wedding anniversary of Mrs. Anding’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Dux of Neillsville, together with the Anding’s 23rd wedding anniversary and the confirmation of their daughter, Anna, that morning at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.

The festivities began Saturday evening when the Dux children feted their parents with a dinner at Bali Hai Supper Club. The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were present for the event.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Dux were married April 29, 1923, by Rev. Verison at what was then the parsonage of the German Reformed Church west of Greenwood. Attendants were her sister, the former Susan Schwarze, and Gale Hiles. Mrs. Dux is the former Ellen Schwarze. The couple is parents of two sons and two daughters, grandparents of 10 granddaughters and one grandson, and great grandparents of two great-granddaughters.

Present for the Sunday observance, in addition to the Anding’s and their family, were the following Dux sons and daughters and their children: Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dux of Stoughton, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Dux and daughter of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Evelyn) Dimeo and children of Neillsville. Mrs. Anding is the former Pat Dux.

Grandchildren in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Kike Mullally and daughter of Stoughton, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Koehn of Neenah, Judy and Jean Anderson of Madison, and Mrs. Karen Arndt and daughter of Neillsville.

Other close relatives present included Mrs. Dux’s sisters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence (Susan)
Williamson and Mrs. Hilda Bjorkman of Racine and Mrs. Jennie Hendricksen and daughter of Spencer; Mr. Dux’s brother, William C. Dux, and his sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Dux and her mother, Mrs. Herman Lenzkow, all of Neillsville; and nephews and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dyer and son of Morris, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schwarze and daughters of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hendricksen and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hendrickson and children of Marshfield.

Others at the observance were Jim Beilke, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hasz, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hasz and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Riedel of Granton and Leroy Ludovic, Barbara Mott, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Christie and daughter and Mr Anding’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anding, all of Neillsville.
