Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau was the setting Saturday, June 10, 1967 for the 6 p.m. candlelight ceremony of Miss Cheryl Lee Fredberg and Anton H. Dern.

The Rev. Dale D. Hansen officiated at the double ring ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Fredberg, 806 South Tenth Street, Wausau, and the son of Mrs. A.K. Dern, 902 Hewett St., Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.).

Nuptial music was provided by Mr. Richard Schumacher, Wausau, at the organ, and by Miss Mary Rosemeyer, Thorp, vocalist.

The bride wore a floor length gown of imported Swiss Venetian lace over satin peau. The gown was styled with an emprire waistline, a scooped neckline, elbow length sleeves, a sheath skirt and a chapel train of stain peau edged in matching lace. The open pill box of matching improted lace held a floor length veil of Bridal Illusion trimmed with lace appliques. She carried a bouquet of a dozen long stemmed white roses.

Miss Carla Dern, maid of honor and sister of the groom, was attired in a pale pink satin back crepe sheath. The gown featured an empires waistline, elbow length sleeves and a scooped neckline. She carried a bouquet of three long stemmed light pink American Beauty roses.

Also serving as attendants were Miss Patricia Ogurek, Thorp, Miss Jean Baldeschwiler, Thorp, and Miss Pamela Gritzmacher, Wausau, all friends of the bride. They all wore identical dresses and carried identical bouquets of three long stemmed roses, as that of the maid of honor, but in deeper shades of pink.

The groom was attended by Lon Fredberg, Wausau, best man and brother of the bride; David Svetlik, Neillsville; Allan Hoesley, Neillsville, and Dean Struble, Neillsville.

The mother of the bride was attired in a pink double knit crepe, styled in an A-line sheath dress with a matching lace coat. She wore a corsage of gardenias and white sweetheart roses. The mother of the groom wore a matching dress-coat ensemble of pink crepe in a patterned design. Her corsage consisted of gardenias.

Miss Sue Hedler of Thorp circulated the guest book, while Mill Lyn Karnop and Miss Barbara Zaborowski, both of Thorp, served punch and cake.

The bride is a 1964 graduate of Thorp High School and her husband is a 1964 graduate of Neillsville High School. Both young people will be Seniors this coming fall at Wis. State University at Eau Claire.

After a short honeymoon to southern Wisconsin, they will make their new home at 1207 South Dewey St., Apt. 17, Eau Claire, Wis.
