Miessner, Adolf O. (13 Jun 1886 – 30 Jun 1967)

Funeral services for Adolpf O. Miessner, 81, of Unity were held Monday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran church at Colby with the Rev. David Pankow officiating.  Burial was made in Colby Memorial cemetery.  The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Miessner died unexpectedly at his home Friday of a heart attack.

He was born June 13, 1886, at New Minded, Ill. and his marriage to Emma Hassebrock took place there January 29, 1911.

They lived there until 1925 when they moved to the Athens area, and in 1942, they purchased a farm east of Unity, where they had lived since.

Mr. Miessner is survived by his wife, four sons, Wilfred Miessner, route 1, Edgar; Edward Miessner, Milwaukee; Clarence Miessner, Edgar; and Elmer Miessner, Mancelona, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Helen) Berens, Marathon, and Mrs. Larry (Agatha) Gudenschwager and Mrs. Stanley (Mildred) Oblak, Milwaukee; a brother, Theodore Miessner, New Minden, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lunte and Mrs. Clara Mielton, both of St. Louis.  There are also 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
