Funeral services for Frank Pautz, 61, Abbotsford, who died October 15 at his home of a heart attack, were held Monday afternoon.

Mr. Pautz was in ill health the past three years but death came unexpectedly at 7:10 a.m. at his home, Saturday morning.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Sunday afternoon and evening and was taken to the First Presbyterian church Monday. The Rev. Charles Glidden officiated at the one o’clock services during which the Rev. Wallace Smith of Merrill, former assistant pastor at Abbotsford, sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “For All the Saints Who From Their Labors Rest”. Miss Ann Lenz was organist and accompanist.

Interment was made in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Wausau. The pallbearers were Alfred Anderson, John Busse, Lowell Dorn, Carl Morrow, Ronald Pautz and David Ruppert.

Mr. Pautz was born June 5, 1905, at Wausau and received his education there. His first marriage was to Mary Burns who preceded him in death. In 1951 he was married to Edna Ruppert Fogarty.

Mr. Pautz was employed in Wausau at the Curtiss Companies, Inc. In 1957, Mr. and Mrs. Pautz came to Abbotsford and operated the Home Motel until 1965 when they build the Second and Pine Mobile home court.

He was an elder of the First Presbyterian church in Abbotsford.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Morrow and Miss Joan Pautz, Abbotsford, and two brothers, William and Emil, Wausau.

A sister preceded him in death.

Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Al Hefley of Chicago, Mrs. Gordon Dooley of Minneapolis, the Rev. and Mrs. Wallace Smith of Merrill and relatives and friends from Wausau, Colby and Abbotsford.
