Tennyson Gerald Kind, the son of Alexandra Kind, was baptized during services Sunday, Aug. 17, at Calvary Lutheran Church. His sponsors are Jonathan kind and key Kanarowski. Little Tennyson was welcomed by members into the Calvary Church family.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jacobi had visitors from Colorado Springs, CO, recently. Grandson, David Bertz, his son, Maddox and sister, Rosalee Bertz, spent a few days visiting. Earlier, Lee’s niece, Marilyn Jacobi, came from Seattle, WA, for a visit. While she was here, they celebrated Lee’s 88th birthday, the eight day of the eighth month, Aug. 8.

Only 14 members attended the August meeting of the Granton/Chili senior citizens potluck. The ice cream was furnished by Jane Bartsch. Members were invited to the rummage sale at Zion Church Sept. 4, 5, and 6, with a barbecue sandwich, salads and homemade pies Thursday evening, Sept. 4, beginning at 4 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken. The September meeting is scheduled to be held at noon at the Granton Community hall with potluck at noon Thursday, Sept. 11.
