------ Schemenauer, Kathleen Alma (25 JUN 1966)

Miss Kathleen Alma Schemenauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmerd Schemenauer, Athens, and Glenn James Zettler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zettler, Athens, exchanged wedding vows Saturday, June 25, at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Wuerzburg. Rev. Charles Schumacher officiated at the ceremonies.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of pink roses as she approached the altar wearing a gown of chantilly type lace over taffeta, embroidered with iridescent sequins and large satin roses. Her gown was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and a full skirt. Her short bouffant veil was attached to a satin rose headpiece embellished with sequins.

Mrs. Raymond Schemenauer, Athens, was the matron of honor, and Mrs. Frank Redmann and Mrs. Duane Zettler, both of Athens were bridesmaids. They were attired in A-line long skirted gowns having white lace trim on the sleeves and at the waistlines. Each of the gowns were fashioned with roses in the back and the trains were attached at the waistlines. Each had a matching veiled headpiece, and they carried flowers of pastel pink, yellow and green carnations matching their ensembles.

The best man, Raymond Schemenauer, and the husbands of the bridesmaids, who served as groomsmen, escorted their wives during the ceremony.

Alex Ellenbecker provided the nuptial music and the church was decorated with arrangements of roses, iris and peonies. The ushers were Elmer Schemenauer and Laverne Zettler.

The Trianon Ballroom was the scene of the dinner, reception, supper and dance that followed the wedding.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Zettler are 1964 graduates, the bride at Dor-Abby, and the groom at Athens. She has been employed at Marathon Cheese Corporation, Marathon, and the newlyweds will reside on route 2, Athens, where he is engaged in farming.

Out-of-town guests who came to attend the wedding were from Milwaukee, Chicago, Wausau, Athens, Abbotsford and San Jose, Calif.
